Product Description

The Latina Virgina 1819 was designed in 1819 and launched that same year. Also know as "schooners", these boats offered great maneuverability and elegance. Equipped with a central swivel mounted carronade and lighty armed plus high speed the Virginia was used for pursuit and intercepting tasks as a coast guard boat.

Kit by Artesania Latina features pre-cut plywood keel section and frames, and double planked hull. Blocks and deadeyes are yellow boxwood. Eyelets, bracers, belaying pins, and cabin door hinges are brass, as are the 250 miniture nails you'll use to fasten the hull and deck planking. Accurate plans and pictorial instructions.

Please note: The manufacturer of this wood kit is based in Spain. Although complete plans and instructions are included, the limited English instructions provided require critical thinking and some modification as needed. This is not a build by numbers kit, and is not for everyone. Additional technique books, and or access to the advice of an experienced wood modeler or wood model club is recommended.
