Knotmeter - Egg Timer: By running out a line with equidistant knots, and measuring time
with a sandglass, the speed of a sailing ship was defined and measured in "knots", for the amount
of knots counted on the length of line run out during the sandglass timing. Our brass, handtooled
sandtimer orginally counted approx. 30 seconds, which has been lengthened to 3 minutes.
This makes it into a functional desk item to time phone calls. (Height 3.5")
