Product Description

Balancing toys were popular in the 19th century. Dating back to ancient China and India, where they were most often carved from soft wood, the western balancing toys were traditionally made from tin or metal. Illustrations of balancing toys can be found in educational literature from the 18th century. The physics governing the movement of such toys intrigued and amazed people. Balance toys came in various forms.

Whatever the moment, one thing is certain. This catch will never happen... nor will the monster fish catch his smaller siblings. Things are in balance here, and seemingly in perpetual movement. Only need a nudge now and then, while thinking smugly back to the last prize-haul of rainbow trout.

15.4"L x 4"W x 21.25"H
