The Nantucket Lightship Handbag, which has become the Classic Symbol of Nantucket Island,
was originally woven by the lightship keepers moored on Nantucket Sound. These intricately
woven baskets were adopted by the women of the island as handbaskets and then adorned with
ivory engravings and carvings.
Our unique reproduction handbag captures the beauty of the original Lightship Basket and is
