This chime is tuned to notes derived from Pythagorean celestial ratios.
What is the sound of the rising moon? Pythagoras would say the answer lies in the numbers. The ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician loved numbers and the relationships between them. It was Pythagoras who discovered that pure-sounding musical intervals could be expressed by whole number ratios. He also believed that the cosmos existed in musical harmony, and that the sun moon, stars and planets move together in one divine symphony. In keeping with this philosophy, we've created this chime. Its sweet sounds are in tune with the world around us.
