Of all the pirates and buccaneers who sailed the mighty seas, Sir Henry Morgan is among the most remembered. Immortalized by Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum produced today in Puerto Rico, Henry Morgan was no ordinary pirate. In his heyday he was a privateer empowered by the British government to fight against Spain. Privateers were little more than legal pirates but Morgan was unique. King Charles II made him a Knight of the Realm in 1673 and Lt. Governor of Jamaica.
Mini-Kits by Mamoli offer well detailed, high quality ship models. Solid wood hulls are pre-carved and perfectly shaped. Fine grained wooden dowels are provided for the masts and spars, and individual planking strips cover the deck. Authentically scaled fittings include metal parts, cotton rigging and silk-screened flags. Average assembly time is 20 - 30 hours.
