The schooner L'Etoile and sister ship, the Bellepoulle, were built in 1932
in Fécamp, France, and, like the reknown Paimpol schooners, were
used for fishing along the coast of Iceland. In 1938 the ships were
equipped with a 125 HP engine and used by nautical schools.
