The 18th century Spanish cannon, “El Tigre” was mainly used as a fortress gun, The 18th century Spanish cannon, “El Tigre” was mainly used as a fortress gun though some ships of the line were sturdy enough to employ them. Since these cannons were not used as field artillery they were often heavier and shorter. The steps in the carriage were used to adjust the angle of fire. This miniature replica, 18" long, is well detailed and makes an outstanding decorative piece.
