The Toulonnaise is a French schooner with 18 Lb. guns which was in
service from 1823 to 1843. La Toulonnaise was built in Toulon, France in 1823 for action
in the war against Spain. Stationed for a time at Barcelona,
she sailed to Cadiz to take part in the bombardment of the
port. During a complete overhaul in 1832, the poop deck
superstructure was redone, internal and external gunwales,
waterways and the planking of the bridges were all replaced.
