The R.M.S. Titanic was built at the Harland & Wolff shipyards of Belfast, Ireland.
She was launched
on May 31, 1911. On her maiden (first) voyage in April 1912, she struck an iceberg and sank in the
North Atlantic, killing 1500 people.
Titanic was the second of three "Olympic Class" ships. Olympic
being the first and Gigantic, later renamed Britannic, the last.
